A staple in music and celebrity photography, he has also made his mark in video. Jimmi Francouer

Jimmi submitted a pitch and then shot a four page fashion editorial which we published in issue 10, the Crowds issue.

His submission was a series using projected images of old outdoor festivals and crowded scenes from retro gatherings and was one of the most inspired editorials of that issue. Jimmi is also well known in Montreal creative circles for his photos of local and Canadian musicians, many of his portraits having been published in monthly Newad Media magazine Nightlife. Represented by Leitmotiv Studio, Jimmi has also produced work for a Volkswagon campaign, Bleu Blanc & Rouge, Cossette, Urbania and local weekly Voir. You can see more of his work here.

Jim Malone

British photojournalist Jim Malone was the one to capture the iconic image of English streaker Mark Roberts that we featured on the cover of our issue 10, and has also taken several other shots of the legendary personality at sporting events and games in England, all featured on his Flickr.

Jim also explores the local culture and history of urban Britain through photo, such as at the Lewis department store, street festivals, and live concerts given in London, Manchester and Liverpool.

Jessica Petunia

Montreal based photographer Jessica Petunia contributed several images to past issues of SNAP! to accompany stories and features.

Prolific and with a large following on Flickr, Jessica tends toward photos of her immediate surroundings and infuses every day scenes with some kind of stillness or reverie. She has also been building an ongoing self portrait series which examines the activities in her daily life and gives a personal insight into the private or mundane moments that we live out alone- loading laundry, waiting for the bus or sitting quietly in a public space. Her talent and eye for composition has made her a great pair with fellow SNAP! contributor, photographer and film-maker, Robby Reis. The two have collaborated on several projects, in particular Robby's recent film Suha, which tells the story of a young graffiti artist in Montreal and is played by Jessica herself. See more of Jessica's photos here and learn more about Suha here.
