Lampshades made from real loaves of bread

Artist and lover of bread Yukiko Morita created a series of lampshades from resin-dipped bread. The Japanese artist started working in a bakery when she was a teen and became obsessed with yeasty delights. She went on to study art and cooked up this recipe of age-proof bread lamps.

Her pieces are made from flour, salt, yeast, LED batteries, resin and a few other secret ingredients and look good enough to eat.

“I love bread. Bread is cute. I want to display it in my room and stare at it.” You can see more of her work here.
